Hectic day!

Its a hectic day at work. Everybody worked non-stop, Oncology, medical patients is driving doctors and nurses crazy! Everybody is occupied with so many things admissions after another, hourly parameters taking attending call bells every minute every second! Nurses and doctors worked so hard!!

Everyone in the ward worked so hard, providing care and treatment for the sick lil' ones in the ward. Walking around, busy with the medications/ IV drips/ chemotherapy / antibiotics.. Everyone worked as a team to get everything done!

However towards in the evening, one onco patient condition turned critical. GCS score i can darely say its less than 15.. he's so drowsy and is always sleeping, thou he's arousable by noise and pain but he's very irritated upon touching..
He went hypernatremia, hypothemia, cold over 4 limbs, bradycardia and is so restless! He wasn't of himself when i saw him ytd. Ended up quickly send him down to ICU, everyone rushed to get things done for him.

Lucky that there isn't any fits occurred. As was telling michelle in msn just now. I hope he's fine!! I really hope so!! He's the patient i admitted when he first came into our ward, then subsequent admission, knew quite alot of history from his mom, and knew that he would always utter nonsense when his sodium is high.. i really feel for him. Really*

The vicious cycle continues..

The frontline job, the expectations and responsibility you have to bear. This highly stressful working environment. Everyone struggled to provide the best patient care the sick patients ought to have!
